Biography
Álvaro Penadés started skiing at three in a small resort near his hometown in Spain. He grew up racing before discovering powder in his twenties, a shift that naturally led him toward freeride. Now based in Baqueira Beret, he approaches the mountains with a focus on freedom, creativity, and time spent outside. Alongside training and skiing with friends, he works as a filmmaker and POV creator, building projects such as Ephemeral and Re-Define while developing his next long-form documentary. For Álvaro, skiing begins with passion and stays rooted in purpose.
“For me, freeriding is about being out there with friends, enjoying the day, and riding without the pressure of competition.”– Álvaro Penadés
