Biography

Sergio Sbrugnera didn’t grow up in a mountain family. It was his aunt who first put him on skis, but without regular access to the mountains, skiing faded from his life. Years later, watching Shaun White on TV pulled him back in, this time on a snowboard. From there, his riding moved naturally from groomers to freeride and into the backcountry. With the Dolomites close by, Sergio approaches snowboarding as a way of life rather than something to chase. What keeps him coming back is simple: early mornings, quiet mountains, good people, and the freedom that comes with it.

It’s the connection with nature and the raw feeling of riding backcountry that drives everything. If that inspires someone else to get out there and chase their own goals, that’s what matters. Sergio Sbrugnera
