This winter we hosted the MONTEC Winter Series, a series of events across the Alps built around four simple ideas: ride, learn, connect, and explore.

The goal was to create a space where people could come together to spend time in the mountains, build useful skills and confidence, connect with like-minded riders, and enjoy the backcountry in a fun and safe way.
Over the course of the season we travelled to three locations across the Alps:
Each stop brought together riders for three days focused on shared moments in the mountains, safety workshops, and backcountry experiences – all about building confidence, learning essential skills, and enjoying the mountains together.
Each weekend followed the same rhythm.
On Friday we opened the Montec Basecamp, our on-hill meeting spot where people could stop by, chat with the team, try on gear, and kick off the weekend. The Basecamp was our gathering point throughout the weekends – a place to stop by, chat, try on gear, connect, and enjoy some pretty unreal alpine backdrops.
On Saturday the Montec Safety Summit brought riders together for a hands-on avalanche safety workshop led by certified local mountain guides. The day focused on the fundamentals of backcountry safety – getting familiar with essential gear, practicing search techniques, and learning how to move through the mountains with more awareness and confidence.
On Sunday the Backcountry Experience was all about heading into the mountains together with guides for a day of freeride or touring. It was about learning by doing – riding together, exploring terrain, practicing the basics, and getting a real feel for what spending time in the backcountry is all about.
Across all three stops we had a great time. People came together with the same mindset: to learn, share moments in the mountains, and enjoy great days on snow together. In total, around 100 riders joined the events over the season, sharing good times, learning new skills, and connecting with others along the way.
Looking back, the Montec Winter Series created exactly what we hoped for: a space where people could ride, learn, connect, and explore the backcountry, build confidence and essential skills, and have a great time together in the mountains.
